Warm Chocolate & Pistachio Fondante with vanilla ice-cream and pistachio nougatine ($15)
The Meat & Wine Co. promises glorious views of Darling Harbour and $25 Lunch Specials including a wine or beer. We could take photos swirling a glass of red, order dishes accompanied by side salads and use many pieces of cutlery. Oooh, so classy!
It’s time for an unorthodox approach. Let’s side-step the main dishes so that we can focus on the important things in life - dessert. The dessert items are great to share, but you’ll want them all to yourself!
Chilli Chocolate Mousse was an unusual combination, adding a little heat to my favourite dessert item. The tangy blood orange sorbet perfectly complemented the richness of the mousse. My mum would faint, but it was easily worth the $14 we forked out.

Now, do I have your careful attention? Please order the Warm Chocolate & Pistachio Fondante with vanilla ice-cream and pistaccio nougatine. A moan escapes your lips after one mouthful (that’s what he said). Relish the hot and cold, chocolate and vanilla, crumbly and creamy. Honestly, I would skip the mains and use $15 to buy another fondante. So. Much. Love.

The ooooooozzzzeeeeee!
The Meat & Wine Co. was a highlight of our holiday in Sydney. The soft lighting and dark wood feels fancy, yet we could pass around forkfuls of food with minimal judgment. Bookings essential on weekends to avoid *sadface*.
