There was a consensus after our lunch at Mr Munchies Sushi that we should grab some dessert, so we headed to Sweet Fix in Northbridge. It sits right near Utopia, so I have often wandered past it without heading inside. The menu lists bubbletea and a limited selection of Asian desserts, including mango pudding and sago.

Left to right - Home Made Green Tea Ice Cream ($3.90) and
Home Made Durian Ice Cream ($3.90)
I wanted weird Asian ice cream and it is not often that I spot durian ice cream listed on a menu! I enjoyed the creamy cold treat and it had a distinct durian taste. For the uninitiated, durian is a strange spiky tropical fruit that has a pungent smell and unusual taste that many people find unpleasant. I love it, so I loved my ice cream!
From my small taste of the green tea ice cream (which comes with red beans), it was more bitter and less sweet than the standard varieties. My friends enjoyed it.

Fresh Mango Pudding ($4.90)
The mango pudding did not look as smooth or soft as I expected. My friends said it was good, but I guess this was not distinguishable from the usual offerings in dim sum restaurants around Northbridge.

The tacky and colourful furniture lures idle passerbys into Sweet Fix. There does not seem to be anything amazing about the place, but now I know a spot to satisfy my random cravings for durian ice cream.
